Arrive early to capture the temple’s reflection in the surrounding moat as the sun rises behind its majestic spires. After sunrise, explore the grandeur of Angkor Wat itself, the largest religious monument in the world, renowned for its intricate bas-reliefs and stunning architecture.
Next, head to Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmer Empire, and visit the Bayon Temple, famous for its towering stone faces. Continue to Chau Say Tevoda and Thommanon, two elegant and well-preserved temples located near the Victory Gate of Angkor Thom. Then, visit Takeo Temple, a towering, unfinished pyramid-style temple dedicated to Shiva.
